Pursuant to UCA 20A-9-203(8)(a) I, DeAnn Parry, City Recorder for the City of Alpine, do hereby certify that the following individuals have met the qualifications to be candidates in the Alpine City 2025 Election.

Notice of Municipal Election and Candidate Declaration

Municipal Offices Open for Election

There are two (2) City Council seats, and one (1) mayoral seat up for election in 2025. Each seat is for a 4-year term, from January 2026 - December 2029.

Candidate Filing Period

Any resident interested in becoming a candidate for office must file a Declaration of Candidacy and Conflict of Interest form in person at the Alpine City Recorder’s Office located at 20 N. Main Street, Monday – Friday, June 2-6, between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm. * Please make an appointment with the City Recorder*   801-756-6347 x 3

Qualifications

To qualify as a candidate, you must be a registered voter and a resident of Alpine for 12 consecutive months immediately before the date of the election. Also, in accordance with Utah Constitution Article IV, Section 5, any mentally incompetent person or any person convicted of a felony, treason, or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to hold elective office is restored.

Important Dates

June 2 - 6             Candidate filing period

August 1              Last day to register to vote in the primary election (if held)

August 12           Primary election (if needed)

October 24        Last day to register to vote in the general election

November 4      General election

 

Voter Registration Information

To register to vote, you must:

  • be a citizen of the United States.
  • have resided in Utah at least 30 days immediately before the next election.
  • be at least 18 years old on or before the next general election (Nov. 4, 2025).
  • currently reside in the district/voting precinct in which you apply to register.

To register to vote you may either:

  • visit vote.utah.gov, or
  • mail in a paper registration form (available online or at City Hall), or
  • call the Utah County Elections Office at 801-851-8128.
